Question
Do you still work in extreme heat or cold?
Short Answer
We scoop in most weather, but when conditions become unsafe for our team or your yard, we pause service and resume on your next scheduled day.

Context
Idaho weather keeps everyone guessing. From summer heat to freezing winter mornings, The Lawn Dogs in Star stay on schedule whenever it’s safe to do so. Our team works year-round, but we also know when to take a step back to protect our employees and your property.
When We Keep Scooping
We’ll work through:
Light rain or snow — as long as walkways and yards are safe.
Cold temperatures — until ice buildup or frozen waste makes cleanup impossible.
Hot days — provided there’s no risk of heat stress for our team or damage to your lawn.
When the weather cooperates, we stay on track so you never have to worry about buildup or odor between visits.
When We Pause Service
If temperatures climb too high, drop below freezing, or if there’s heavy snow, we temporarily skip that day’s route. These pauses follow our Weather and Safety Policy in your Terms of Service. You won’t lose out — we’ll be back on your next scheduled visit to scoop everything that accumulated.
Service pauses are rare, but safety always comes first. Working in extreme weather risks injury and can damage your yard when soil is soft or frozen.
