Section 01Overview
The Lawn Dogs provides professional dog waste removal services to residential and commercial properties throughout Treasure Valley, Idaho. Our service area includes Meridian, Boise, Eagle, Nampa, Caldwell, Kuna, Star, Middleton, Garden City, and Emmett, all at standard pricing.
These Terms apply to all service types offered by The Lawn Dogs, including recurring service (weekly, every-other-week, and twice-weekly), one-time cleanups, and seasonal cleanups. By using our website, accepting a quote, or allowing us to service your property, you agree to the terms below.
The Lawn Dogs reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms are effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.
Section 02What Services Does The Lawn Dogs Offer?
The Lawn Dogs Dog Waste Removal offers recurring service (weekly, every-other-week, and twice-weekly), one-time cleanups, and seasonal cleanups across Treasure Valley, Idaho. The following service types are available:
All recurring service pricing is based on a standard 1/4 acre residential property. Properties with unusually large yards, significant slopes, or other factors that substantially increase service time may be quoted separately. When in doubt, text us your address and we'll give you an accurate quote before you commit.
Every recurring service visit includes: a complete back yard scoop, all waste hauled away in our truck (never left in your bin), a photo confirmation texted to you when the gate is secured, a reminder notification the evening before each visit, a 30 to 60 minute on-the-way text the day of service, and a treat left at your door.
Recurring Service
Weekly, every-other-week, or twice-weekly back yard scooping on a consistent schedule. Pre-paid monthly.
One-Time Cleanup
A single visit for new clients, spring cleanups, or one-off needs. The base service fee is invoiced and paid before scheduling. Any additional charges for excessive waste are invoiced after service, due within 24 hours.
Seasonal Cleanup
Typically performed in spring to address waste accumulated over winter. Priced based on conditions at time of service.
Section 03Service Day, Not Service Time
The Lawn Dogs commits to your scheduled service day, not to a time of day. Our routing software optimizes each day's route using Google Maps, so your arrival window moves from week to week.
The honest reason is that we have real lives too. Some days start at 6am to get ahead of brutal heat. Some start late because there is lightning. A technician has a doctor's appointment, or a school run, or a kid who needs them that morning. We would rather commit to the day and tell you when we are genuinely on the way than promise you a time we would end up breaking.
You get a reminder the evening before your visit, and a text 30 to 60 minutes before we arrive. We can see whether those texts were delivered. If one did not reach you and that is on our end, tell us and we will make it right.
Because the commitment is to the day and not to a time, your yard needs to be accessible for the whole of that day. If we arrive and cannot get in, that visit is skipped and is still charged. Accessing Your Yard, below, covers this in full.
Your service day is assigned by route, and the route changes as clients join and leave. If we need to move your day, you get at least 30 days notice.
Once a year, usually in October when the lawn mowing season ends, we rebuild the whole route. You get at least a month's notice and, wherever we can manage it, a choice of days. If you do not reply, or none of the days you pick fit the route, we assign the day that keeps the route working.
If you want to move your service day during the year, tell us and we will do our best. We cannot promise a particular day outside the annual rebuild, but it is always worth asking.
Everything above describes a standard plan, on which choosing your service day among the days we run in your area is free. Scheduling upgrades are priced on the pricing page for asks outside that: a service day of your choosing, a morning or afternoon arrival, or a two-hour window you pick, and a day can be combined with a time. If you have bought one, that commitment applies to you and overrides the general rule in this section. Your yard then needs to be accessible for the window you bought rather than for the whole day. If we miss a window you paid for, that falls under When a Visit Gets Missed as our fault, and the month's upgrade fee is credited back automatically.
Section 04When a Visit Gets Missed
Every missed visit comes down to one of three things, and what happens next depends on which one it was.
Our fault
We make it right. Whatever that takes.
On your end
We will work with you if we can. If we cannot, we catch everything on your next scheduled visit.
Act of God
We work around it. Nothing is lost. It is collected on the next visit.
The sections that follow are these three applied to specific situations. A locked gate is the second one. Lightning is the third. If you ever think something was the first and we did not treat it that way, tell us.
Section 05Accessing Your Yard
The Client is responsible for ensuring that The Lawn Dogs can access the area to be cleaned on each scheduled service date. This includes providing accurate gate codes, lock combinations, or other access information at the time of signup and updating that information promptly if it changes.
If you need us to return after a lockout, a $5 return trip fee will be added to your account. The easiest way to prevent lockouts is to add your gate code or combination lock details to your profile in the Client Portal.
Situations that may prevent access include, but are not limited to: locked or frozen gates, gates blocked by vehicles or debris, aggressive animals in the yard, and gates that cannot be opened due to ice or warping. In any of these cases, the visit is charged as rendered and we will return on your next scheduled service date.
Tip: The most reliable access method is a gate code stored in your Client Portal. It eliminates lockout issues entirely and takes about 60 seconds to set up.
Important Policy: Locked or Inaccessible Yard
Service is pre-paid monthly. If The Lawn Dogs arrives on your scheduled service day and cannot access your yard due to a locked, blocked, or frozen gate, that visit is counted as rendered and no refund is issued. The reason is straightforward: the truck made the drive, the technician spent the time, and that slot on the day's route was yours. Keeping the yard accessible on your service day is the one thing we need from you.
If you have bought a scheduling upgrade, the yard needs to be open for the window you bought rather than for the whole day. If something genuinely went wrong, call or text us at 208-248-2098. Gates freeze, codes change, and people forget. We would rather sort it out than win an argument about a gate.
Section 06Animals in the Yard
The Lawn Dogs is happy to work around friendly animals in the yard. Our team loves dogs. However, we will not work around animals that display aggressive or threatening behavior toward our team members.
If a team member cannot safely complete a service due to an aggressive animal, we will leave the yard immediately. The visit will be charged as rendered. We will notify you of the situation and resume on your next scheduled service date.
Dog Bite Policy
If a team member is bitten or attacked, we will leave the premises immediately to seek medical attention. The yard will be left in its current condition. That visit is considered services rendered. The Client is responsible for all medical costs within a reasonable timeframe. Animal Control may be contacted. Depending on the severity, further action may be taken.
The Client is responsible for maintaining accurate vaccination records for all dogs on the property and making those records available to The Lawn Dogs upon request or in the event of a bite incident.
We rely on the Client's honest assessment of their animal's temperament. Please be truthful about this at signup. It protects our team and ensures uninterrupted service for you. The Lawn Dogs reserves the right to decline service to any yard our team does not feel safe entering.
Section 07Weather & Conditions
The Lawn Dogs services year-round and works through most weather including cold temperatures, light snow, and rain. We will not perform service during conditions that are unsafe for our team or that could significantly damage your property, including:
- Severe thunderstorms with lightning
- High or sustained damaging winds
- Heavy snow accumulation
- Flooding or standing water
- Heavy wildfire smoke or air quality that poses a health risk to our team
- Extreme heat or cold that poses a safety risk to our team
- Excessively muddy conditions that would damage your lawn
Weather Skip Policy: No Refunds
When a visit is skipped due to weather, no refund will be issued. Your monthly rate remains the same. On your next scheduled visit, we collect everything, including what accumulated during the skipped week. The total workload is the same; it's simply consolidated into one visit.
If you need your yard cleaned before your next scheduled visit due to a weather skip, contact us at 208-248-2098 and we will do our best to accommodate. We cannot guarantee availability but always try.
The Lawn Dogs is a recurring service. Weather skips are part of outdoor work in Idaho. We plan for them and catch up completely on the next visit.
Section 08Billing & Payment
The Lawn Dogs operates on a pre-paid monthly billing model. Invoices are created on the 1st of each month and processed (charged) on the 5th for that month's service. An email receipt is sent automatically each billing cycle.
- Monthly invoices are created on the 1st and processed on the 5th of each month
- Accounts become past due if unpaid by the 10th of the month
- A $10 late fee is added to past-due accounts
- Declined cards result in immediate pause of service until the issue is resolved
- Accounts more than 45 days past due may be referred to collections
New Clients: Your first invoice covers one full month of service, paid upfront before your first visit. Once that invoice is paid, you are added to the route. A second prorated invoice will follow to align your account to the standard 5th-of-month billing cycle. From that point forward, you are billed on the 5th like all other clients.
For one-time cleanups, the base service fee is invoiced and must be paid before scheduling. Any additional charges for excessive waste are invoiced after the service is complete and are due within 24 hours of invoicing.
If more than 30 days have passed since your last service and you return to recurring service, The Lawn Dogs reserves the right to apply an Initial Clean fee for the additional time required to address accumulated waste.
We accept all major credit and debit cards. Cash and checks are not accepted.
Section 09Additional Fees
Standard recurring service covers your back yard. The following situations may result in additional charges. All fees are disclosed before they apply whenever possible.
| Situation | Fee |
|---|---|
| Cleaning decks, patios, or sidewalks (waste removal only) | +$5 / visit |
| Cleaning rock or pebbled areas | +$5 / visit |
| Return trip after a lockout or access issue | +$5 / trip |
| Waiting fee: if our team is made to wait to begin service | +$5 / visit |
| Late payment (after the 10th of the month) | +$10 / month |
| Initial Clean fee: excessive waste after 30+ day gap in service | Quoted separately |
Questions about a charge on your account? Contact us at 208-248-2098 or scoop@thelawndogs.com. We'll always explain any charge clearly.
Section 10Holidays & Annual Shutdown
The Lawn Dogs does not perform service on the following holidays:
If your service day falls on one of the above holidays, we skip that week and resume on your next regularly scheduled date. Your monthly rate stays the same and no refund is issued, because the work is not lost. We collect everything that accumulated while we were away. Over the month it evens out.
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day (July 4th)
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Day
Annual Holiday Shutdown
The Lawn Dogs shuts down operations between Christmas Day and New Year's Day each year. During this period, no service is performed. Your normal monthly billing continues during the shutdown period as we catch up all accumulated waste at the start of the new year.
Section 11Pausing & Canceling Service
Pausing: Clients may pause recurring service for any reason and at any time. Pause requests should be submitted via text to 208-248-2098 or through the Client Portal.
Canceling (Monthly): Clients on monthly billing may cancel service at any time with no cancellation fees and no notice period required. There are no contracts. If you cancel mid-month, no partial refund is issued for the remainder of the pre-paid period. The service remains available and active through the end of the billing month.
Pausing more than 30 days: When service resumes after a pause of more than 30 days, The Lawn Dogs reserves the right to apply an Initial Clean fee for the first visit. Waste accumulates during long pauses and the first visit back typically requires additional time. We will let you know before that visit if an Initial Clean fee applies.
The Lawn Dogs has no interest in trapping clients in service they don't want. We earn your business every visit. Cancel, pause, or adjust any time. No questions, no hard feelings.
90-Day Pause Limit
Service pauses are limited to a maximum of 90 consecutive days. If service does not resume within 90 days, the Client's account will be closed and they will be removed from the schedule. Re-enrollment is always available and easy. Simply reach out to sign up again. No penalties apply for leaving and returning.
Canceling a Prepaid Plan (Quarterly, Semi-Annual, or Annual)
Prepaid plans may be canceled at any time. However, prepaid discounts are earned through commitment to the full prepaid term. If you cancel before the end of your prepaid term, your refund (if any) will be calculated at the standard monthly rate for each month of service already delivered, not the discounted prepaid rate. If the recalculated value of services rendered meets or exceeds the amount you paid, no refund will be issued.
Example: A client on the Annual plan (pay 10 months, get 12) who cancels after 6 months has received 6 months of service. Those 6 months are recalculated at the standard monthly rate. The refund is the original payment minus that recalculated amount, minus any applicable processing fees.
Moving or changing service? Prepaid balances are not transferable to another client, but if your situation changes mid-term (new property, additional dogs, different service level), we're happy to work with you. Remaining credit from your prepaid plan can be applied toward a new invoice that reflects your updated service. Any difference in pricing due to property size, dog count, or plan changes is simply settled at the time of adjustment. Just reach out and we'll figure it out together.
Vacation skips: If you need to skip a single visit due to travel, a family event, or any other reason, simply text us at least 24 hours in advance. That visit will be removed from your schedule with no charge.
Section 12Service Guarantee
New Client Guarantee: Your first 4 weeks of recurring service are completely risk-free. If you are not 100% satisfied at any point during your first month, contact us for a full refund. No questions asked.
Ongoing Satisfaction: If you are ever unsatisfied with the quality of a service visit, contact us within 24 hours of that visit. We will return within two business days to re-service the yard at no additional charge whenever possible. Revisit requests made more than 24 hours after a completed visit will be addressed at our discretion.
24-Hour Window for Revisit Requests
All work is considered final after 24 hours. Revisit requests must be submitted to scoop@thelawndogs.com or by texting 208-248-2098 within 24 hours of your service date. Once a valid revisit request is received, The Lawn Dogs will return within two business days to re-service the area.
The Lawn Dogs always works in good faith to resolve any service concern to the Client's satisfaction within the guidelines of these Terms.

The Lawn Dogs always works diligently to clean your yard as thoroughly as possible. We understand that property maintenance is demanding and your yard may not always be in ideal condition. We will never make you feel judged. That's not what we're here for.
However, the Client should be aware that dog waste hidden under tall grass, heavy leaf cover, or significant debris may be missed during a service visit. Conditions that commonly result in missed waste include:
- Grass exceeding approximately 4-5 inches in height
- Thick leaf cover concealing the ground
- Brush, landscaping piles, or debris accumulated over the lawn
- Areas of the yard inaccessible due to clutter or stored items
If visible waste is missed during a visit, contact us at scoop@thelawndogs.com as soon as possible, ideally the same day, and we will address it. On our next regularly scheduled visit, we will get anything that was missed once conditions allow.
Section 14Refunds
If a problem is clearly our error, we make it right. Outside of that, completed services are not refunded, and the situations further down explain where that line sits.
Monthly clients: If you cancel mid-month, no partial refund is issued. Service remains active through the end of your billing period.
Prepaid clients (Quarterly, Semi-Annual, or Annual): If you cancel before the end of your prepaid term, any refund will be calculated by subtracting the full standard monthly rate for each month of service already delivered from the amount you originally paid. The prepaid discount applies only when the full term is completed. Refunds are processed minus any applicable bank or credit card processing fees and are typically returned within 5-10 business days to the original payment method.
Account credits may be offered as an alternative to refunds on a case-by-case basis.
Situations that do not qualify for a refund include:
- Weather skips (we catch up the following visit)
- Holiday skips (we catch up the following visit)
- Visits where access was denied due to a locked gate or animal
- Missed waste due to tall grass or debris not disclosed at signup
- Annual holiday shutdown period
If you believe you've been charged in error, contact us at scoop@thelawndogs.com or call 208-248-2098. We review every concern and respond promptly.
